Functional Medicine Health Coaching

Mara Schiffren is a successful coach, published author, business owner and public speaker. She holds a BA from St. John's College, The Great Books School, and an MTS and PhD from Harvard University in Study of Religion.

She is also a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), and she is certified through the following coaching programs: the School of Applied Functional Medicine (SAFM), the Integrative Psychiatric Institute (IPI), Clear Beliefs Coaching and the Flow Genome Project (FGP) as a Peak Performance Coach.

Building on her experiences recovering from a long term Auto Immune illness that knocked her off her initial career trajectory as an academic, she launched Health Ascent, her coaching company originally dedicated to helping people recover from their chronic illnesses.

After a time, as she began to realize that full recovery from illness into wellness was much broader than merely recovering physically, Mara began exploring complementary coaching programs that helped deepen her understanding of how to heal, in the mental and emotional planes as well as the spiritual one.

She offers these techniques to you now as part of her coaching packages, so that you can transform from illness to wellness in all dimensions, body, mind and soul.
